Terms of Service

Mentora turns study material you upload — or a topic you describe — into practice exams, flashcards, and study analytics, using AI (currently Google Gemini) to generate content. You're responsible for reviewing AI-generated content; it's a study aid, not a substitute for your coursework, textbook, or instructor.

• You must provide a working email address and keep your password secure.
• You're responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Mentora.
• One account per person — don't share credentials.

You keep ownership of anything you upload (PDFs, text, prompts). You're responsible for having the right to upload it — don't upload material you don't have permission to use. We process your uploads to extract text and generate exams/flashcards from them; we don't use your uploaded content to train AI models, and you can delete your documents at any time from the app.

• Starter is free forever, with daily generation limits shown in the app.
• Pro and Scholar are paid monthly subscriptions, billed in advance through our payment processor, Paddle.
• You can cancel anytime from the Billing page — you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
• Prices can change; we'll give you notice before any change takes effect on your next billing cycle.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy — in short, full refund within 14 days of a payment, no questions asked.

Don't use Mentora to:

• Upload malware, or content that's illegal, infringing, or violates someone else's rights.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, security, or access controls.
• Resell or redistribute the service without our written permission.
• Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the service beyond normal personal use.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Exams, flashcards, and grading feedback are generated by AI and, while we work to keep them accurate and grounded in your material, they can occasionally contain errors. Always cross-check anything important against your actual course material.

We aim for reliable uptime but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Mentora is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mentora Labs isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including academic outcomes based on AI-generated study material.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
